Under a microscope, the damaged nerve ends are trimmed, and end-to-end anastomosis is performed if tension is acceptable; if the defect is large, autologous nerve grafting or nerve conduit bridging can be selected; if applicable, adjacent nerve branches can be transferred to the target branch. Intraoperative electrophysiological localization and tension reduction can be used as adjuncts. Postoperative monitoring of blood supply, pain, and motor/sensory changes is performed, along with rehabilitation. The above is general health information and not medical advice; specific treatment should be based on specialist evaluation and hospital protocols.
