Repair of Buried Penis

This procedure is for cases where the penis is buried by surrounding soft tissue. Usually, the suspensory ligament and scar adhesions are released under anesthesia, and the suprapubic fat pad is treated if necessary; the skin is reconstructed with a skin flap advancement or skin grafting, and moderately fixed at the base to reduce re-burial. Drainage can be placed and pressure bandaged as appropriate. Postoperative monitoring includes bleeding, exudation, and skin blood supply, with the goal of improving exposed length, hygiene, and function.
