Robot-Assisted Radical Prostatectomy (RARP)

This procedure is performed under general anesthesia, commonly using a multi-port robotic system, entering the pelvis through small abdominal incisions. Nerve preservation and pelvic lymph node dissection can be selected based on assessment. Typically, the prostate and seminal vesicles are dissected and removed under high-definition magnified vision, the bladder-urethral anastomosis is reconstructed, and a urinary catheter and necessary drainage are placed. Postoperative monitoring includes input and output volume and hemoglobin levels, and waiting for the pathology report.
