Strabismus Correction

This procedure is mostly performed under general anesthesia. Extraocular muscle recession of the lateral rectus muscle and resection/plication of the medial rectus muscle can be selected as needed, and posterior fixation sutures can be combined if necessary. Usually, eye position measurement and marking are completed first, and then the length and attachment point of the relevant extraocular muscles are separated and adjusted under a microscope to change the traction balance. Postoperative monitoring of the cornea, intraocular pressure, and eye position is performed. The goal is to improve alignment and binocular vision.
