Palatal Tumor Resection

Surgery can involve local resection or partial maxillectomy depending on the lesion, with intraoperative rapid pathology and navigation as needed. It is often performed under general anesthesia through an oral approach, resecting the tumor according to imaging and plan, and obtaining safe margins as much as possible, while protecting blood supply and important structures. Subsequently, hemostasis and irrigation are performed, and the wound can be temporarily packed or prepared for reconstruction/palatal obturator. Postoperative monitoring includes airway, bleeding, and pain, with assessment of swallowing and speech. The goal is to control the lesion and promote recovery of oral function.
