The percutaneous, transconjunctival, or endoscopic approach is selected preoperatively based on imaging and physical signs. A common practice is to dissect the lesion under microscopic and navigation assistance, protect the optic nerve and extraocular muscles, and perform frozen section pathology if necessary to guide the extent of resection; then, the bony wall/soft tissue is reconstructed with autologous or artificial materials according to the defect. Postoperative monitoring includes vision, eye position, and wound, with the goal of obtaining a pathological diagnosis and restoring function and appearance.
