Xanthelasma Excision + Local Repair

This surgery is mostly performed under local anesthesia. Depending on the extent of the lesion, direct excision can be selected, and skin flap or skin grafting can be combined for repair if necessary. Usually, the incision is designed along the skin lines, and the xanthelasma is removed layer by layer to an appropriate depth, protecting structures such as the tarsal plate and lacrimal duct. After hemostasis, the continuity of the eyelid margin and skin is reconstructed, and fine sutures are performed. Postoperative monitoring of swelling, bleeding, and corneal protection is performed early, with the goal of restoring eyelid function and appearance.
