Partial Thyroidectomy (Lobe/Isthmus)

When surgical indications are met, open or laparoscopic approaches can be selected, and general anesthesia is performed by the anesthesiology department. During the operation, the thyroid lobe or isthmus is resected according to the plan, and surrounding tissues are treated in combination if necessary; a common practice is to identify and protect the recurrent laryngeal nerve and parathyroid glands, use energy devices to complete the separation and hemostasis, and place a drain if necessary. The specimen is sent for pathology. Postoperative monitoring includes bleeding, voice, and blood calcium. The goal is to relieve compression, remove the lesion, and preserve the necessary thyroid function as much as possible.
