What is Dorsal Slit?
A linear release is made along the dorsal side of the foreskin opening under local anesthesia. If necessary, a small wedge-shaped or Z-plasty is performed to enlarge the opening, the edges are trimmed and shaped, and absorbable sutures are used to suture, preserving the overall structure of the foreskin. Emphasis is placed on hemostasis and protection of the frenulum during the operation. Pressure dressing is applied after the operation and urination and oozing are observed.
